One way for Georgia businesses to save money is by using skype. It is good for voicemail, a regular phone line, chatting, etc. Many features are free and others are so cheap ($3 / month to call landlines & cell numbers) that it can save you some serious money. If you can get rid of your land line and use skype only that could save you $600 or more a year. That is a lot in todays economy.

I have an online number that is $30 a year & $3 per month calling to normal phones & free calling to other skype members.

Also since every kid seems to think they need a cell phone why not try skype with them first if they have an ipod touch. They can chat with you when they are in wifi range and make calls using a mic. By the way a kid does not need  a cell phone… everyone else has one. So if they spend the night with someone & need to call you they can borrow their friends or the parents’ phone.
